OVERVIEW

 

It is the scope of this module to identify a number of skin conditions relevant to the clinical practice of podiatry, their presentation, diagnosis and treatment in practice.  The skin conditions that this module seeks to deal with are as follows:-

 

• Allergic contact dermatitis

• Chilblains

• Cracked heels

• Pompholyx

• Paronychia

• Candida

• Mycetoma

• Tinea pedis/Athletes foot

• Dermatophytide reactions

• Mould infections

• Psoriasis
